Every Casse Glass splashback is made for your wall, not cut from a stock sheet on site. We start with a free on-site measure and consultation, then make each panel to measure in house before it is installed.
What our splashbacks are made of
We use 6mm toughened safety glass that complies with Australian Standards. For colour back and matte splashbacks, the colour is applied to the back of the glass, so it is sealed behind the surface where it cannot be scratched, stained or faded by cleaning products, sunlight or cooking heat.

Colour Back Glass Splashbacks
Colour back splashbacks are one of the most popular choices of glass splashback. The colour is applied to the back of toughened glass, giving a deep, glossy finish in almost any shade: bold colours, soft neutrals, whites, greys, blacks and metallic finishes.
We can match a Dulux colour or work from a sample of your cabinetry or benchtop, so the splashback ties the whole kitchen together. If you are choosing a white or very pale colour, talk to us about it at the measure, as light colours can look slightly different behind glass.

Kitchen splashbacks
We make kitchen glass splashbacks for homes across Sydney, and behind the cooktop and sink is where glass earns its keep: oil and splashes wipe straight off, and there are no grout lines to discolour. Toughened glass handles the heat of cooking, but it must be installed with the correct clearance from gas cooktops as required by Australian Standards, which we check when we measure.
Bathroom and laundry splashbacks
A glass splashback behind a vanity or laundry tub is an easy-clean, moisture-resistant alternative to tiles, and it can be made in the same colour as your kitchen for a consistent look through the home.

How Glass Splashback Installation Works
- Free measure and quote. We measure the wall and note every power point, switch and window. Glass splashbacks sit on the finished benchtop, so we’ll confirm the right time to measure when you book.
- Choose your finish. Pick colour back, mirror or matte, and your colour or tint. You get a fixed price before anything is made.
- Made to measure. Each panel is made to size in toughened safety glass, with cut-outs for your power points and switches, and coloured or tinted to your choice.
- Installed. Our team fits the panels and checks the clearance around any gas cooktop.
After that, all it needs is a wipe with a soft cloth and a glass cleaner. Our recommended cleaning range is ammonia free and biodegradable.
What Does a Glass Splashback Cost?
Every splashback is quoted after we measure, because the price depends on your wall, not a standard size. The main things that affect it are:
- Area: a typical kitchen splashback is around 2 to 3 square metres of glass.
- Number of panels: long or L-shaped walls need more than one panel, and each join is planned so it sits neatly.
- Cut-outs: power points, switches and windows each need a precise cut-out before the glass is toughened.
- Finish: colour back, matte, metallic or tinted mirror.
- Installation: access to the wall and its height.
You get a fixed price in writing before we make anything.
Glass or tiles?
Tiles usually cost less per square metre up front. Over time, though, grout needs resealing every one to two years, stains and discolours, and a cracked tile is hard to match years later. Can a glass splashback go behind a gas cooktop?
Yes. Toughened glass is heat resistant and made for use behind cooktops, but Australian Standards require a set clearance between a gas cooktop and the glass. We check this when we measure and design the splashback to suit.
What are your glass splashbacks made of?

What tints do mirror splashbacks come in?
We offer a choice of mirror tints, including grey and bronze. We can bring samples to your free on-site measure so you can compare them in your own kitchen.
Is glass better than tiles for a splashback?
Tiles usually cost less up front, but glass has no grout to reseal or stain, keeps its colour and is much easier to clean. Over ten years, grout resealing and tile repairs add to the cost of tiles, which glass avoids.
Can I have a glass splashback in the bathroom or laundry?
